At the Greyhound Hub, we endeavor to bring you helpful content about what it’s like to adopt and live with a greyhound. We follow strict guidelines to ensure that any content published is accurate and trustworthy.

Our editorial principles

Where we don’t have lived experience on a particular topic, we will look for someone who does

Our aim is to create a robust resource hub, eventually covering every possible question that a greyhound owner might have. As such, there will be certain situations that we haven’t experienced firsthand. In these cases, we will source information from those who do have firsthand experience, as well as leaning on reputable online sources. We aim to always be transparent in these situations about how/where information has been sourced.

UK perspectives, for greyhound owners everywhere

We’re based in the UK, therefore some of our guidance - particularly in relation to rescue routes, laws and legislation - is UK-centric. However, much of our advice on settling in, training and daily life should benefit greyhounds and their owners anywhere.

Across our content, we will highlight where international readers should conduct further research, for example in relation to breed-specific muzzle laws, lead legislation, and the greyhound adoption process.

We use expert sources

We always use authoritative sources to research and inform our content, particularly when it comes to more sensitive topics. Any highly specific claims will include links to relevant sources.

We do not use AI for content creation or editing

We are firmly against the use of AI for content creation. All of our content is proudly human-created.

We continously review and update content

We regularly refresh content to ensure accuracy, and each article has a “last updated” date.

We will occasionally recommend specific products as part of our advice. These are not paid or sponsored placements. In nearly all cases, they are products which we have used successfully with our own greyhound. This does not mean that they will work for every single dog, and we will also make that clear. We may also occasionally recommend products which we have seen discussed on greyhound forums, but not tried ourselves. In these cases, we will also check product reviews to ensure we only mention products with a high level of customer satisfaction.
